May 17 Update

Work is proceeding nicely on our roads, sidewalks, and infrastructure.  All the sidewalks are gone on Main Street, and have been temporarily replaced by tamped-down earth and gravel.  Though everything is accessible to pedestrians, we recommend that you leave your 3 inch heels at home.  On rainy days the road can be a bit muddy.  Keep your eyes on where you’re stepping as well as taking in what’s going on around you!

Remember, Kinderhook Street is open to two-way traffic and there’s plenty of parking there and on Park Row.  The parking lot next to the former Dollar Store is available to patrons of local businesses as well, though you have to approach it from the traffic circle side.

Local businesses are all doing fine and looking forward to seeing you.  It’s still fun to shop in Chatham, and now we have the construction to entertain you, too.
