It’s another beautiful spring day, and the sidewalks on Main Street are being eaten up! The street was dispatched in one day, and the rest of the sidewalks on the west side of Main Street should be history by day’s end. Tomorrow, if the weather holds, the sidewalks on the east side of the street will meet their fate.
Fear not, pedestrians, you can still walk from store to store. Although the pavement is gone, there is still firm footing along the entire street. Temporary ramps of tamped-down earth and gravel lead to every storefront. Colarusso employees are solicitous of your needs, and will help you negotiate a path if you feel unsure of which way to go. There are always at least four places to safely cross the street, marked by traffic cones.
Because Main Street is closed to vehicles, Kinderhook Street and Park Row are the alternate routes. Kinderhook Street is open to two-way traffic for this purpose. Parking is available on Kinderhook Street and Park Row. Everyone is open for business and looking forward to seeing you!
