Long before The Partridge Family, Shirley Jones had achieved fame as a singer and actress. She may perhaps be best remembered for her unforgettable performances in several well-loved movie musical blockbusters in which she often embodied or represented wholesome beauty and kindness, including Oklahoma, Carousel, April Love and The Music Man. In a rare “naughty girl” role, she won an Academy Award for Elmer Gantry. Called “the first lady of American song” by Bob Hope, Shirley Jones in concert promises to be a very special event - this living legend’s appearance at Barrington Stage Company is sure to be a night to remember!
